Football in Malaysia is more than just a sport — it is part of everyday life. From heated debates at the mamak stall over who will lift the EPL title this season, to the roar of the crowd at Stadium Larkin as Johor Darul Ta'zim defends its Liga Super crown — the passion for football runs deep in Malaysian culture. GW99 is here to complete that experience with the most comprehensive and user-friendly football betting platform in Malaysia.
What sets GW99 apart from other betting platforms is the depth of its coverage. Beyond the major European leagues, the Malaysia Super League, Premier League, FA Cup Malaysia, and Malaysia Cup are all available on GW99 with full markets. This means Malaysian players can bet on their favourite local clubs — whether JDT, Selangor FC, Perak FC, or any other state side — with competitive odds and a wide range of markets.
Johor Darul Ta'zim, or JDT, has long dominated Malaysian football. Their near-consistent Liga Super title wins each season make them the most backed team on GW99 — and also the hardest to beat on paper. Yet in football, results do not always follow logic, and that is precisely what makes the Liga Super so compelling to bet on.
Clashes like JDT vs Selangor FC, or Kedah Darul Aman taking on Penang FC, consistently drive some of the highest betting activity on GW99. Members who follow local football closely have a real edge — they know who's in form, who's carrying an injury, and how a side performs at home versus away. GW99 provides up-to-date Liga Super statistics to help members make the most of their local knowledge.
If there is one league that truly holds the heart of Malaysian football fans, it is the English Premier League. From the glory days of Eric Cantona at Manchester United to Pep Guardiola's dominant Manchester City era today, the EPL has been essential weekend viewing for millions of fans across Malaysia. At GW99, all 380 EPL matches every season are fully covered — from the opening rounds in August right through to the final day in May.
One of the most valued features for GW99 members in the EPL section is the full-season markets that open well ahead of the campaign. Players can bet on the league winner, relegation candidates, and top scorer at early prices that are often far better than mid-season offerings. This is a strategy seasoned bettors use to extract maximum value from their knowledge of each EPL club's strengths and weaknesses.
Asian Handicap is an Asian-originated market now adopted worldwide for its clear advantages — it eliminates the draw and provides better value on every bet. In Malaysia, Asian Handicap is the most popular way to bet on football, and GW99 offers it for virtually every match in their catalogue.
For members new to Asian Handicap, the concept is straightforward even if the variety of names can seem confusing at first. The stronger side is given a negative handicap (e.g. -0.5, -1, -1.5) while the weaker side receives a goal advantage. Quarter-ball handicaps like 0.25 and 0.75 split your stake across two lines, meaning you can win half or lose half — this reduces risk and gives you more flexibility compared to a standard 1X2 market. GW99 provides a full Asian Handicap guide in Bahasa Malaysia to ensure every member knows exactly what they're betting on.
The live (in-play) betting feature at GW99 ranks among the most advanced of any platform in Malaysia. As a match unfolds, odds shift by the minute in response to the scoreline, red cards, player injuries, and the momentum of play. Punters watching the game live have access to information not yet fully priced into the odds — and that is the golden window to place high-value bets.
A classic example: Liverpool are trailing 0–1 at the 60th minute on home turf. Their odds to win climb to 2.50 or higher. Seasoned Liverpool watchers know this team is a fortress at Anfield and has a strong record of turning things around late in the game. With GW99's in-play betting, you can jump in at that moment for far better value than what was available before kick-off. GW99's in-play interface is fully optimised for mobile — responsive, fast, and easy to navigate while the action is unfolding.
Nothing makes watching football more thrilling than having a live parlay ticket on the line in the 90th minute of the final match. Parlay at GW99 lets members combine between 2 and 15 matches on a single ticket, with each set of odds multiplied together to produce a substantial payout. Stake RM 20 on a 5-match parlay at average odds of 1.90 and you stand to win over RM 490 — that is the enduring appeal of the parlay.
GW99 allows parlays across multiple leagues and competitions — you can combine Malaysia Super League, EPL, and UCL matches all on a single ticket. The GW99 system also displays real-time estimated winnings as you build your parlay, letting you fine-tune your selections to suit your preferred risk profile.
